Control of eutrophication in aquatic ecosystems by sustainable dredging: Effectiveness, environmental impacts, and implications

چکیده

This review summarizes current knowledge on sediment dredging to control eutrophication. Emphasis has been given the effectiveness and environmental impacts of dredging, release nutrients from sediment, response cyanobacterial bloom after dredging. Dredging is an effective method, although its mainly dependent external load. method can improve lake conditions by reducing TP, TN, Chl-a, P-flux, SRP flux, bloom. An important emphasis must be focused maintaining loading. Combining with other restoration methods, such as LMB addition, often more than alone.
